#TransitionHighbury Local Film Showing: #Sunu, on Monday 7 March, Highbury
Transition Highbury Film Showing Sunu. This beautifully filmed documentary takes us deep into Mexico, to show how the country’s ancient, staple food crop, maize, is bound up in the rural people’s determination to stay free, work the land, cultivate their seeds and remain true to their cultures and spirituality — in a modern world that both needs them and despises them. They are trying to keep out the industrial farmers.
Venue as usual is Nanna’s, 274 St Paul’s Rd, London N1 doors open early, film starts at 7pm, and donations are welcome to help fund future screenings.
